26/08/2010: Pakistan: EU solidarity welcomed
 In a letter to Kristalina Georgieva, European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid & Crisis Response, EPP Group Chairman Joseph Daul MEP praised the European Commission, and in particular the Commissioner's personal commitment, for the effective and swift European response to the destructive floods in Pakistan. "In the current unprecedented situation in Pakistan, the European Union has demonstrated its capacity to help and to save the lives of many innocent people", stated Joseph Daul MEP.
